Sheet Metal Welder
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on fabrication experience, strong welding skills, and the ability to produce precise, high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities
- MIG weld sheet metal from 18-gauge through ¼” plate
- Roll and form your own parts prior to fabrication and assembly
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and fabrication drawings
- Operate hand brakes or hydraulic press brakes (experience preferred)
- Use tape measures, calipers, and fabrication tools with accuracy
- Convert fractions to decimals and measure to 1/32” precision
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist other team members as needed and support production goals
Preferred Equipment Experience
- Operation of ironworkers (e.g., Geka or Piranha)
- Experience with a beader or power rotary swedge machine
- Familiarity with spot tack machines, band saws, and drill presses
Weld Test Requirements
Applicants must pass the following weld tests:
- Butt Weld
- T-Joint Weld
- Circumference Weld
Candidates must bring their own welding shield, hammer, and vice grips.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience
- Strong MIG welding skills
- Reliable attendance and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Ability to use and read fabrication tools (tape measure, protractor, calipers, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Operational knowledge of CNC cutting machines, press brakes, drills, and saws
- Proven ability to operate at least one fabrication machine with minimal supervision
- Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment

Working Conditions
- Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 80 lbs., bending, reaching, and repetitive motion
- Environment: Exposure to dust, loud noise, and temperature extremes
- Pay: $24-$25/hr
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m.; occasional half-day Saturday (rare), mandatory overtime as needed (typical 46-hour week)
