Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator

Location: Torrance, CA 90504

Pay Rate- $27-29.00/HR on w2+ $3k bonus (Based on shift timing)

1st or 2nd Shift

Sets up and operates machines such as drill presses, punch presses, shears, bending rolls, brakes, grinders and numerical control equipment to shape and alter sheetmetal according to specifications. Follows blueprints, rough sketches or engineer drawings to shape metal accurately.

Uses hand and power tools to shape and smooth metal and to blend seams.

May set up and operate soldering and welding equipment. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.

Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Special Considerations: Lifting will exceed 30 Lbs. and/or repetitions of this or lesser weights will be significant. Exposure to substantial machine, chemical, biological or other physical risks are anticipated. All US, ISC, touch labor roles are eligible - Subco Bonus Program to 3k, and a change in the pay-out structure: • $1k at 14 days w/perfect attendance. • $1k at 60 days • $1k at 90 days ** to get 60 and day bonus; worker must have received 14 day bonus.
