SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Machine Operators for a client in Niles, IL The Machine Operator is responsible for operating automated and semi-automated production equipment to create and manufacture finished products.    SURESTAFF is invested in their team members!  All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation  as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).  Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.   Available shifts include 1st Shift.  Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.   Responsibilities of the Sheeter Operator: 
  • Sets up and operates the Sheeter to cut paperboard to correct size.
  • Retrieves correct paperboard stock from warehouse using forklift.
  • Sets machine with paper guides for the correct size of paper to be sheeted.
  • Runs test sheets; examines test sheets to detect defects and verifies conformance to work orders.
  • Observes operation of machine to detect and correct machine malfunctions.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, security procedures and instructions.
  • Performs all duties according to established safety policy, including wearing all required PPEs.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned. 
 Required Qualifications of the Sheeter Operator:
  • Ability to actively listen, analyze needs and determine needs
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Possess good organization skills & attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
  • Able to work well with others, as well as work independently
  • Have good computer skills
