A day in the life

It’s early morning in Minneapolis, MN 55428. You arrive to a spotless pressroom, review the job ticket, load stock, and dial in the first make-ready on a KBA 105/106. As the run starts, you balance ink and water, verify color across all 6- and 7-color units on our 40" sheetfed presses, and keep a close eye on registration and density. Between jobs, you perform quick maintenance, wipe down rollers, and communicate status updates so the team can hit production goals without missing a beat.

The impact you’ll make

  • Own setup, operation, and care of our KBA 105 and 106 sheetfed lithographic presses (6- and 7-color, 40" configuration).
  • Monitor live runs to ensure consistency, color accuracy, and sharpness from first sheet to last.
  • Fine-tune ink/water balance and correct issues proactively to maintain premium print quality.
  • Troubleshoot press challenges and complete routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Partner closely with production teammates to meet deadlines and throughput targets.
  • Keep your press area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards and company policies.

About you

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in printing is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience as a litho press operator (or similar pressroom role) with solid process knowledge.
  • Expert eye for detail, strong problem-solving approach, and pride in craftsmanship.
  • Collaborative by nature with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Clear communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Open to flexible scheduling and overtime when required.
