Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, repair, and maintain stamping dies, cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures by operating lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and CAD drawings to plan, measure, and mark metal stock, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and adjust tools and dies in presses, collaborating with Press Operators for setup and functionality.
- Conduct test runs and inspect finished parts, making adjustments to meet specifications and quality standards.
- Select appropriate metals and alloys, perform heat-treating operations, and develop specifications or designs for specialty tools as needed.
Qualifications:
- A.A. technical degree in a Tool & Die Program
- 5+ years experience in tool & die
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission
- Flexible and able to multi-task; can work with an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
- Bend and lift, loading and unloading work pieces onto pallets, and move from one workstation to another, alternately sitting and standing
- Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
- Perform repetitive work for more than 10 hours per day, including weekends.
- Read the fine print and distinguish colors.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
