Basic Job Functions:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, calibrate, modify, and service electrical, electronic, instrumentation, communication, and control systems in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, specifications, and technical instructions for planned and emergency work.
- Maintain mill equipment, power distribution systems, process controls, drives, sensors, gauges, and computerized control systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and line stoppages, including software-related issues.
- Plan repairs, respond to breakdowns, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Perform mechanical repairs as needed and operate cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment.
- Install and repair communication and power cabling, including cable splicing, and work at heights when required.
- Support production and maintenance teams while maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping, and teamwork.
- Work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial/manufacturing experience as an electrician, electronics technician, or maintenance technician (military experience accepted).
- Valid driver license.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience
2. High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferences:
- 2+ years of technical training in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, or related fields.
- 3+ years of heavy industrial electrical/electronics (AC/DC Motors, Drives, PLCs, Sensors, various voltage systems) maintenance experience.
- Experience with automation, process controls, power distribution, and computerized control systems.
