Are you a hands-on production lead or supervisor who excels at coaching crews, driving plant-floor safety, and keeping automated processing lines running at peak throughput? American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier, high-volume wood pellet manufacturing facility in Shelton, WA to hire a dependable, full-time Shift Foreman.

TAKE CHARGE OF THE SWING SHIFT WITH SOLID PAY & ROBUST BENEFITS! In this active floor-leadership role, you will manage, coach, and support your production team during a steady 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM shift. You will oversee pellet milling and packaging operations, troubleshoot equipment and process flow issues, track production numbers, administer crew development, and step in to cover relief stations. If you bring 3–5 years of industrial leadership, strong mechanical problem-solving skills, and a dedication to safety and 5S standards, let's connect!

Description for Shift Foreman:

  • Conduct regular shift performance tracking and maintain clean, accurate production, scrap, and downtime logs.
  • Administer personal development, on-the-job training, and safety mentoring for crew members to build cross-functional team skills.
  • Step in to provide relief coverage across operating stations for employee breaks, lunches, and planned/unplanned absences.
  • Champion the facility safety program at the crew level: lead pre-shift safety tailgates, enforce PPE compliance, and conduct routine workplace safety audits.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free production lines and staging bays aligned with 5S principles.
  • Collaborate closely with plant maintenance technicians and the Operations Manager to report mechanical defects and coordinate scheduled repairs.
