Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in the at Cinnabon/Auntie Anne's in Northbrook. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will oversee daily operations, ensure staff efficiency, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. This role is essential in creating a positive work environment while driving team performance.


Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new staff.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as needed.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and train staff on its use.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the establishment.
• Provide training and support to new employees, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Assist in menu planning and culinary preparation as needed.
• Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and coaching to promote professional development.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service management or restaurant management is preferred.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
• Knowledge of inventory control processes and best practices.
• Experience with POS systems is highly desirable.
• Culinary skills or bartending experience are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
