    Position Summary:


    The Shift Lead plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing leadership on the floor. This individual will supervise staff, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of service and product quality. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced café or fast casual environment and inspires others through their leadership.


    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and motivate team members during shifts to deliver excellent customer service
    • Oversee daily operations including opening and closing duties
    • Manage inventory, place supply orders, and monitor stock levels to minimize waste
    • Assist with training new staff and supporting ongoing development
    • Handle customer concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café
    • Support Pouristas and kitchen staff during peak hours

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience working in a café, fast casual, or similar environment
    • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
    • Strong inventory management and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
    • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle customer issues diplomatically
    • Flexible schedule availability including weekends and evenings
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
    • Must have Food Handler Certificate
    • Must have Responsible Beverage Training Certificate
