Shift Managers are self-sufficient while running a shift and often act as "manager in charge" (MIC) of the restaurant. . Being a Shift Lead is an important stepping stone to being promoted to become an Assistant Manager. Major responsibilities include training and motivating Team Members, interact with customers, and manage customer issues while maintaining the highest quality of products and services. Shift Manager also need to monitor all service equipment and supplies during their shift and make sure that everything is in working condition.\n \nKey areas of focus include:\n\n Helps maintain SOS goals, guest relations and product quality\n Monitors labor and other costs to ensure they are in acceptable variances and maintains all business standards\n Coaches and supports team members to ensure a great guest experience\n \nShift Managers perform hands-on operational work to train employees, respond to customer service needs, ensures proper cash control, and role-model appropriate skills and behaviors in the restaurant.\n \nQualities that make an ideal MIC:\n \nEnsuring Consistent Customer Satisfaction\n \nAttendance\n \nInitiative and Energetic\n \nDeveloping People\n \nAct Like an Owner\n \nJob Requirements and Essential Functions:\n\n Must be at least 18 years old.\n Must pass background check criteria and drug test.\n Must have reliable transportation.\n Able to do basic business math.\n Able to stock shelves and coolers.\n Able to oversee and manage subordinate employees and provide direction.\n Able to tolerate standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs. and stooping during at least 90% of shift time.\n\n
