From slow-baked peach cobblers and creamy banana puddings to cinnamon rolls, cookies, and indulgent shakes — every item is made from scratch with love and the finest ingredients. We’re growing our Boston team and looking for natural leaders who are ready to step up, inspire their teammates, and help us deliver an exceptional guest experience every shift.

Position Summary

The Shift Leader is a key member of the management team, responsible for overseeing daily operations during their assigned shift. You will lead and motivate front of house and back of house team members, ensure product quality and guest satisfaction standards are met, and act as the point of contact in the absence of the Store Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will work alongside your team while keeping the entire operation running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

•       Lead, motivate, and support front of house and back of house team members throughout the shift

•       Delegate tasks effectively and ensure all team members are on track with their responsibilities

•       Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and encouragement to team members during the shift

•       Help onboard and train new team members on company standards, recipes, and procedures

•       Maintain a positive, professional, and energetic team culture throughout each shift

•       Address and resolve minor team conflicts or performance issues in the moment, escalating to management as neededOperations & Quality Control

•       Oversee all shift operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service

•       Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure all products meet Peach Cobbler Factory standards

•       Conduct shift opening and closing procedures including cash handling, drawer counts, and checklist completion

•       Ensure the store is clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times throughout the shift

•       Monitor inventory levels during the shift and communicate needs to management

•       Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations

•       Manage order flow during peak hours to minimize wait times and maximize guest satisfaction

 Guest Experience

•       Model exceptional guest service and set the standard for the entire team

•       Step in to assist guests with questions, concerns, or complaints, resolving issues with professionalism and care

•       Ensure every guest leaves with a positive impression of the Peach Cobbler Factory brand

•       Support catering and event orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment

Qualifications

•       Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a food service, restaurant, or retail environment required

•       Prior supervisory or shift leadership experience strongly preferred

•       Natural leader with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

•       Ability to motivate and hold a team accountable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

•       Dependable, punctual, and professional — you set the tone for your team

•       Comfortable with cash handling, POS systems, and basic shift reporting

•       Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

•       Food Handler’s Certification or ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

•       Must be available for a flexible schedule including opening/closing shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays
