Position Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced, quick service restaurant environment. As a Shift Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading our team to success. Your leadership will inspire staff, uphold food safety standards, and maintain high-quality food and service standards. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality management and eager to develop their leadership skills in a vibrant culinary setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
  • Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a positive work environment.
  • Manage food preparation processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality and safety standards while adhering to recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Utilize POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock control, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of ingredients and supplies.
  • Enforce food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and health regulations to maintain a safe dining environment.
  • Assist in training new staff members to build a competent team aligned with company standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Support kitchen management by supervising food production, managing shift schedules, and controlling food costs within budget parameters.
  • Contribute to overall restaurant management tasks including budgeting, staff scheduling, and performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food service management or supervisory roles within quick service or casual dining restaurants.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Ability to train staff effectively in food handling, safety procedures, and operational standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy shifts.
