About the Role
The Shift Leader is one of the most important roles in our restaurant. You are the standard-setter — the person who determines what kind of shift it's going to be the moment you walk in the door. Your emotional consistency, decision-making, and real-time coaching directly shape both the guest experience and our team's growth.
This role is roughly 85–90% operational leadership and 10–15% coaching and development. Every shift, you'll be focused on three things:
- Coaching & Training — Leading with our values, developing your team's capacity, and using tools like the Pathway app to guide growth
- Protecting the Guest Experience — Modeling CORE 4 (Eye Contact, Smile, Friendly Tone, My Pleasure), winning hearts every day, and recovering quickly when things don't go as planned
- Smooth Operations — Owning the flow of your shift across Drive-Thru, Front Counter, Catering, and On-Demand
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading your assigned shift with full ownership of operations, deployment, and team positioning
- Executing food safety, quality standards, and speed of service targets
- Running effective pre-shift huddles and communicating clear expectations
- Giving in-the-moment coaching using the ESRC model (Expectations, Skills, Resources, Consequences)
- Monitoring labor efficiency and identifying operational bottlenecks in real time
- Ensuring immediate and generous guest recovery when needed
- Holding the team accountable with professionalism and care
- Opening or closing at least once per week, with a minimum of 15 hours per week
- Developing future leaders through consistent observation and feedback

What We're Looking For

- Willingness to follow Chick-fil-A dress code and standards
