Role Overview
As our Front-of-House Shift Lead, you’ll oversee the dining room during your shift—stepping in when management is off-duty. You’ll lead by example, keep service smooth, and ensure every guest leaves smiling.

Core Responsibilities:


  • Own the FOH during your shift: open/close, supervise, and support hosts, servers, and bussers
  • Conduct pre-shift team briefings and post-shift wrap-ups
  • Manage guest flow, reservations, waitlists, and seating logistics
  • Take and resolve guest feedback and minor issues quickly and professionally
  • Act as the point person for FOH operations in the absence of the GM or the Assistant Manager
  • Train and mentor newer team members on service standards and POS systems
  • Handle shift-level cash and financial closeouts accurately
  • Maintain dining room cleanliness, ambiance, and readiness throughout service
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and BOH teams to keep orders flowing
Qualifications:


  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a shift lead, team captain, supervisor or similar in a casual/fast‑casual or Italian-style restaurant
  • Strong command of front-of-house roles: host, server, expo, cash handling, etc.
  • Excellent multitasking, organizational, and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding communication and a guest service mindset
  • Reliable, professional, and flexible—able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable standing for long shifts and assisting with light physical tasks
  • Food handler certification and Bassett certificate required
