Job Summary
As a shift manager, your mission is to guide Mattito’s team to operational excellence. You will assist in the recruiting and hiring of caring, friendly and service-oriented staff members to join our family. The Restaurant Manager will be continuously focused on delivering an incredible guest experience while maintaining objectives in sales, cost, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation. This position is part time with flexible hours mostly evening and weekends.
Responsibilities:
Set the standard for the respect, care and treatment of your Mattito’s family.
Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines for training programs.
Maintain the restaurant to excellent sanitation standards to provide for “A” rating health inspections.
Ensure all staff members are fully trained using the approved training program guidelines.
Have a clear understanding of operations, financials, inventory control, cost of goods and labor percentages.
Ensure that all recipes are followed correctly, and dishes are prepared and plated to Mattito’s standard.
Motivate your team by setting goals and empowering them to be achieved.
Be knowledgeable of policies regarding personal and administer fair, and consistent corrective actions.
Carefully comply with all federal, state and county regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor.
Provide advice and suggestions for improvement to the General manager.
Qualifications
Have a knowledge of the food service industry generally involving at least two years in previous shift or assistant manager or leadership roles.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Basic computer skills, word, email, Excel and POS.
Both Serve Safe managers food and TABC certifications.
