Location: Hibbing, MN Job Title: Shift Manager - Maintenance Company: Cleveland-Cliffs Site: Hibbing Taconite Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Shift Manager - Maintenance at Hibbing Taconite in Hibbing, MN. As a Shift Manager, you will direct and coordinate safe production at the Plant. You will be responsible for: Coordinating daily activities in the operation site. Supervising hourly crews. Improving overall efficiency by proper utilization of resources and all their components. Ensuring the reliability of mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance. Directing maintenance personnel as needed in response to breakdowns. Summary of Responsibilities Schedules routine activities. Supervises completion of work assignments and follows established department plans. Maintains general discipline of the crew in meeting daily production, safety, and quality objectives. Instructs personnel in job requirements, company rules, and practices. Coordinates production and maintenance activities with different departments. Assists in developing continuous improvement plans. Monitors site operations, adheres to safety, environmental, quality, and productivity performance standards, and performs regular audits. Leads employee training and performance review programs. Improves overall production processes and services efficiency. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 2-year degree in a technical field or equivalent. 3-5 years of recent experience at a mining, mineral processing facility, or heavy industry (preferably in a unionized environment). Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, such as team building and conflict resolution. Willingness to promote team concepts and company policies. Ability to motivate, delegate, establish, and work in a collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors Degree. Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays to ensure 24-hour coverage, 7 days per week. Regular attendance is an essential requirement. Must be able to physically perform all responsibilities safely, including: Walking on uneven surfaces. Climbing equipment. Operating pickup and other small fleet vehicles, etc. Salary Range $80,000 to $105,000. An employees pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
