Location Coshocton OHCleveland-Cliffs Coshocton Works located in East Central Ohio a stainless finishing operation and one of the nations leading producers of flat rolled stainless steel has an immediate opening for an Operations Shift Manager.Summary of ResponsibilitiesAdministration of company policies and proceduresSupervise and provide work direction to hourly bargaining unit employeesParticipate and implement the safety program goals to ensure a safe work environment by conducting safety contacts observations meetings and auditsAdhere to the Quality Policy to promote continuous improvement of our products processes and servicesAttain results through effective planning organizing controlling and assignment of prioritiesMaintain effective and consistent work performance even under uncertain or unstructured conditions in the face of stressIdentify basic problems gather the appropriate information and analyze in an effective mannerMake decisions with a clear business focus on safety quality environmental and productivityAssist in the development review and update of JHSAs Job Safety and Health Analysis to eliminate safety hazards and QSOPs Quality Standard Operating ProceduresOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications Supervisory experience in a business environmentProficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent communication skillsStrong organizational skillsMust be willing to work rotating shifts holidays and weekends when requiredPreferred Qualifications Associate or bachelors degree in technical engineering or business disciplineThree years of supervisor experience in an industrial union environmentCleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
