Shift Manager Operations

Location Rockport INCleveland-Cliffs Rockport Works is looking for aShift Manager Operations in our Shipping Department. This frontline leadership role is responsible for coordinating safety and quality efforts while overseeing production ensuring compliance with all safety quality and operational standards.Summary of ResponsibilitiesEnsure all safety protocols environmental regulations and operational procedures are strictly followed to maintain a safe work environmentProvide direct supervision and leadership to hourly union production employees across assigned shiftsMonitor and manage production performance to meet quality and efficiency goalsCoordinate staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and effective operations for the shiftComplete and maintain accurate reports and documentation related to production quality and safetyAdministers discipline as requiredOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDStrong leadershipandinterpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse teamsAbility to train lead and hold others accountable for compliance of safety and qualityMust be willing to work rotating shifts weekends and holidays as requiredAbility to work in a heavy industrial environment including exposure to heat noise and moving equipmentExperience using Microsoft Office applications and production management systemsApplicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United Stated on a full-time basisPreferred QualificationsAssociates or bachelors degree in management or related fieldExperience managing in a union environment andor in heavy industryCleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
