Starting salary: $24 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential for all hours worked between 3pm and 7am.
Schedule: 8.5 hour work day with .5 unpaid break built in during the shift
Week 1: Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Week 2: Monday- Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm
JOB SUMMARY
The Shift Supervisor works within a 24-bed residential psychiatric treatment facility for children ages 6-12. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coaching and overseeing direct care staff on shift, ensuring a trauma-informed team approach and overseeing smooth shift operations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as a co-crisis leader alongside the on-shift nurse to ensure safe, effective responses during critical incidents.
• Oversee daily shift operations, including the coordination and delivery of youth programming.
• Manage shift staffing, including scheduling and securing coverage for call-outs to maintain appropriate ratios.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with fellow Shift Supervisors to support staffing, program needs during off-hours (additional stipend provided for on-call work).
• Maintain organized, safe, and well-functioning common areas, while supporting departmental procedures and overall environmental safety.
• Provide on-the-floor training, coaching, and professional development for direct care staff.
• Deliver direct care to youth as needed to maintain staffing ratios and ensure quality support.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to program policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the overall success and well-being of youth

• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a solution orientation manner.
• Make quick decisions and use problem solving to ensure smooth operations.
• Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations, i.e. must be able to supervise groups of children and perform physical intervention if required; must be able to move freely from place to place without restriction.
