Join our team as a Shift Supervisor!

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating weekend day-shift manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role drives a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while supervising daily activities, developing team capability, and ensuring output meets production schedules and quality standards. The supervisor engages and empowers employees through clear communication of performance metrics, fosters a "great place to work" environment, and partners with cross-functional teams, including Human Resources, to support staffing, development, and performance management. Additionally, this role ensures adherence to company policies, safety and quality requirements, and operational excellence through effective planning, problem-solving, and disciplined execution of continuous improvement and 5S principles.

Weekend Day Shift:

Friday - Sunday 6AM-6PM

What you will do

  • Create a culture of Safety and accountability around all Teams as well as individual work assignments
  • Plan and supervise the daily manufacturing activities on a shift
  • Ensure assigned staff are qualified and appropriately trained for assigned work
  • Assure production output supports the production schedule
  • Engage the employees by sharing metrics and how they relate to our Team performance
  • Assure production output meets all applicable quality requirements
  • Partner with human resources to perform recruiting, performance management, training and development, recognition, time management, and corrective action responsibilities
  • Monitor manufacturing area supplies and equipment; initiate purchasing requests as needed
  • Champion the principles of Continuous Improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement
  • Implement and promote the concepts of 5S by maintaining clean & organized work areas with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, & utilization
  • Continually seek to improve work processes & individual performance
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies & operational procedures
  • Adhere to and enforce all quality and safety standards within the department
  • Ensure the quality corrective action plans are adhered to and non-conforming products are managed
  • Facilitate daily huddle boards
  • Establish 1 on 1 discussions with all direct reports
  • Support all activities of the Champions Model and great place to work philosophy
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What it takes

  • Associates degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of lead/supervision/management experience.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in CNC machining, additive manufacturing, finishing, or kitting/fulfillment.
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 or similar QMS; familiarity with SPC and basic metrology.

$72,000 - $90,000 a year
