Shift Supervisor / Server

About the Role:
Jimmy's Famous American Tavern in Dana Point, CA is looking for an energetic and experienced Shift Supervisor / Server to join our team! Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support front-of-house staff during assigned shifts to ensure smooth, efficient service
• Provide exceptional table service, including taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Open and/or close the restaurant, including cash handling, end-of-shift reporting, and securing the premises
• Train, coach, and motivate servers and support staff to uphold service and hospitality standards
• Resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally
• Monitor dining room flow, coordinate with kitchen staff, and manage seating to optimize the guest experience
• Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol service, and health code regulations

Requirements:

• 2+ years of full-service restaurant serving experience required
• Prior supervisory or lead server experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of food, craft beverages, and American cuisine
• Valid RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification or ability to obtain one
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a high-volume environment
• Positive, team-first attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality
