Propulsion Controls Engineering has a job opening for an Ship Fitter Journeyman, with a minimum of 5 years of marine and/or shipyard experience preferred: supporting our Bremerton & Everett, Washington locations.

Ship Fitter Journeyman Job Summary:

The Ship Fitter lays out structural fabrication and repairs in accordance with established drawings and welding procedures.  Lay out and prepare base metals using air and power tools.  Able to identify weld joint designs.  Tack weld all fitted work in preparation for production welding.  Read and properly interpret basic blueprints and drawings.  Knowledge of gas line safety and fire prevention.  Ability to satisfactorily complete company Brazing qualification. 

Job Requirements and Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
  • Associates Degree or Technical Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of marine and/or shipyard experience.
