As a Shipfitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our vessels.     Responsibilities

    • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and layout.
    • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components for ship structures.
    • Install and align structural components, including frames, bulkheads, and decks.
    • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to ensure quality and durability.
    • Inspect completed work to verify adherence to specifications and safety standards.
    • Collaborate with other trades and team members to meet project deadlines.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in shipfitting or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience as a Shipfitter or in a similar role within the maritime industry.
    • Strong knowledge of shipbuilding techniques, materials, and safety regulations.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
    • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
