POSITION SUMMARY: The Shipper position is responsible for performing warehouse duties that include but are not limited to shipping; assisting with loading trucks; assisting in all aspects of the warehouse as needed as well as filling out supporting documentation. This role is expected to offer depth and growth of responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Pack and ship finished goods:
• Verify accuracy of orders by matching them with quantities and types and check products for defects and accuracy
• Report and replace any defective item prior to packing
• Ensure that items are properly packed to ensure safety of shipment
• Prepare and paste labels on shipments
• Ensure posting of outbound deliveries using pre-designated software
• Ensure that serial and batch numbers match the product, packing/shipping customer orders according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure that products processed for shipping are delegated to correct courier
• Prepare invoices and delivery orders
• Ensure that all transactions are recorded in company database
• Make sure that items are loaded in a safe and timely manner
• Ensure that the warehouse is cleaned and maintained at all times
• Maintain and organize adequate shipping supplies
• Use manual and electric pallet jacket as needed
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE and OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of prior warehouse experience and 2 years of shipping experience required
• Ability to operate Barcode printers, handheld barcode scanners, high-speed/moving object scanning device
• Ability to load, unload, or stack containers, materials, or products, manually and/or using industrial powered equipment
• Ability to package goods for shipment or storage; wrap products measure, weigh, or count products or materials
• Ability to operate WMS systems (Latitude), UPS, and FedEx Worldwide Ship systems
• General problem-solving/analysis capabilities
• Strong attention to detail, possesses a sense of thoroughness and a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to use time wisely and perform several tasks by prioritizing and thrive in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. at a time
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be PC literate (MS Office/Excel) and have strong data entry, organizational, and Interpersonal Skills: Experience in P21 is preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to occasionally sit, frequently climb or balance, regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; is subject occasionally to outdoor weather conditions; may frequently work near moving mechanical parts; and may be exposed to humid conditions.
