SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, the Shipper Receiver assists with shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Loading andunloading trucks as required.
  • Operation of material handling equipment including but not limited to forklift hand trucks, forklift truck requires a valid certification obtained by passing the forklift training and safety class.
  • Distribution of received materials to their proper location, on shelf within the warehouse & shop floor.
  • Perform the necessary shipping & Receiving transaction within our operating system (Global Shop)
  • Maintain Good 6S throughout the warehouse in a safe and orderly condition for all employees.
  • Handle merchandise with utmost care.
  • This position requires accuracy and efficiency when checking material and corrective and follow-up action for proper notification of any errors found.
  • Manage all important documents such as pick slips, packing list bills of lading etc.
  • Prepare sales orders for shipment.
  • Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
  • Preform weekly cycle count program.
  • Manage both UPS WorldShip & FedEx
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven experience as shipping manager
  • Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
  • Experience preparing shipping documents.
  • Computer knowledge
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem-solving abilities
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull greater than 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to walk through a large manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to use hand tools.
  • Constant use of hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Occasional bending and twisting.
  • Frequently moving about to accomplish tasks.
  • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to wear PPE as necessary (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, etc.).


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Majority of work is performed in a manufacturing environment with noise levels within safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.
