Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Shipper/Receiver:
#1. Must have at least one year of experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
#2. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
#3. Must be familiar with safe warehouse procedures and regulations.
#4. Must have no more than four jobs in the last 10 years.
#5. Must have material handling, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations experience.
Responsibilities for the Shipper/Receiver:
This position is responsible for general warehouse operations, loading and unloading materials on trucks, preparing pallets for outbound shipments, and maintaining stock and inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and communicate with the Shipping & Receiving team and Manufacturing regarding deliveries and shipments.
- Stage, load, and unload inbound and outbound shipments.
- Verify and receive products into the inventory system.
- Identify and correct shipping and receiving discrepancies.
- Process materials and work-in-progress (WIP) according to work instructions for finished pallets, rolls, and crates shipped to internal and external customers.
- Complete shipping and receiving paperwork accurately.
- Ensure all internal and external customer requirements are met for inbound and outbound freight.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements for the Shipper/Receiver:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Material handling experience required.
- Minimum one year of experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Clamp truck experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Experience completing daily equipment inspection checklists.
- Familiarity with safe warehouse procedures and regulations.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must meet attendance requirements.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch throughout the shift.
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate work.
