Shipping Admin

Indianapolis, IN

1st Shift

The Shipping Admin is a key part of our business. Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipping Admin is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through all the shipping operations as assigned. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment, this is the role for you. Successful candidates will have some prior experience in materials & shipping, working in a team environment and working in Microsoft Dynamics AX MRP system.

What You Will Do:

+ Complete inventory transactions electronically to accuratelyaccount formaterial movement, consumption,reworkand scrap.

+ Ensure that proper workplace organization initiativesand standardpractices are followed within work processes.

+ Ensure inventory is in proper containers,correctlyidentified, and in the proper locations(including, but not limited to part number, finish, quantity).

+ Perform cycle counts on inventory as requested/scheduled; including all WIP that has not been keyed.

+ Root cause inventory discrepancy and availability issues. Work with team members to resolve underlying process,trainingand set-up issues.

+ Maintains inventory byidentifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.

+ Maintaininventory accuracyand ensure the Shipping Warehouse is prepared to be inventory exemptby.

What You Need to Succeed:

+ High School Diploma or GEDrequired.

+ Min. Yrs. Experience:1-3 in a manufacturing/distribution environment.

+ Knowledge of plantreceiving,operations,materialsmovement processes, and shippingprocesses.

+ Critical thinking andproblem-solvingskills.

+ Validforkliftcertification or demonstration of standard skills requiredoflift truck operators within (30) days of job assignment.

+ Preferred candidate hasabilityto identify parts by finish and designation.
