Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities of the Shipping Administrator may include but are not limited to:

• Provide quality, professional service to customers, carriers and teammates
• General knowledge of inventory tracking and control
• Billing billets and finished goods via trucks and railcars
• Coordinating scale activity of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Controlling truck flow by appointment times using Dock Scheduling
• Provide daily reports for Shipping Department

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ year experience in an administrative role
• 1+ year experience using Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) in a business setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates Degree
