Shipping & Receiving Associate – 1st Shift (2 Openings)
Location: Port of Catoosa, OK
Pay: Competitive Pay - $18/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday
- 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
HireCall is currently hiring two Shipping & Receiving Associates for a leading steel processing facility at the Port of Catoosa. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and take pride in accuracy, teamwork, and safety, we'd love to hear from you!
Job Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload steel coils and other materials from flatbed trailers and rail cars.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse using an overhead crane or sit-down forklift.
- Verify shipping paperwork for accuracy and perform quality checks on outgoing materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Previous shipping and receiving experience is highly preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Experience using a micrometer is preferred (training available).
- Strong attention to detail with paperwork and documentation.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, including wheel grinders and band cutters.
- Overhead crane and forklift experience is required.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role that involves extensive walking throughout the shift.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Must be flexible to work overtime as business needs require.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
