Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Pay: $18.00 $22.00 per hour
Hours: 7:00 AM 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you'll be instrumental in managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and safety at every step. You'll work closely with the warehouse team to maintain efficient workflows and uphold the company's standards for quality and safety.
What You'll Do
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for:
- Determining the appropriate shipment methods based on knowledge of various shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Affixing or stencil-labeling shipping cartons with accurate information to ensure proper identification.
- Assembling and packing items in wooden or cardboard containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding to prevent damage.
- Planning, monitoring, and coordinating daily shipments to meet deadlines, minimizing documentation discrepancies.
- Ensuring shipments are dispatched on time, with proper documentation, tracking, and follow-up from origin to destination.
- Receiving incoming materials, equipment, and supplies, and accurately recording details into the computer system.
- Verifying bills of lading, invoices, and orders against actual shipments to ensure completeness.
- Keeping detailed records of shortages and damages, addressing issues promptly to rectify problems.
- Safely operating forklift trucks or pallet jacks to move materials within the warehouse.
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards to foster a safe and productive work environment.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; relevant experience or mechanical aptitude may be considered.
- 1 to 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics roles.
- Forklift certification and experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures via LTL, FTL, FedEx, UPS, DHL, and international shipments.
- Ability to coordinate with freight forwarders and track shipments efficiently.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and team-oriented mindset.
