UnisandIncorporated is currently searching for a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join their team in Medina, Ohio!

We started in 1990 as a distributor of coasted abrasives, Unisand has since evolved into a fabricator of a very diverse line of coated and nonwoven abrasive products. From coated and nonwoven belts and discs to our trademarked Z-WHEELS. We have continually provided its customers with a “Big Company” product line with the customer service of a small family business.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with UPS WorldShip and FEDEX Ship Management a must; experience in Starship Shipping program preferred
• Ability to apply general concepts such as percentages, addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication to practical situations
• Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication with customers, vendors, management, and co-workers
• Current forklift license required
• Proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, Microsoft Office, and word processing
• Willing to learn new tools, processes, and equipment as required
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies, reporting hazards or unsafe conditions immediately

Responsibilities:

• Make boxes, applies labels, and prepares materials for shipment
• Prepare boxes and loads for shipment
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving
• Stage parts for shipment according to customer requirements
• Inspect incoming materials and verifies accuracy against paperwork and documents discrepancies
• Prepare all shipping and receiving documentation
• Schedule trucks for outgoing shipments
• Assist with routine equipment maintenance as needed
• Immediately stop production and notify the production or quality manager when suspect, nonconforming, or out‑of‑tolerance product is identified
• Perform all other duties as assigned
