Shipping and Receiving Associate

Location: Pasadena, TX
Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, 1st shift
Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire

We are seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Associate to support a busy electrical manufacturing facility in Pasadena, TX. This position is responsible for accurately receiving materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips.

• Prepare products and equipment for shipment.

• Generate and review shipping documents, packing lists, labels, and bills of lading.

• Enter receipts, shipments, and inventory transactions into Oracle NetSuite.

• Maintain accurate inventory and material-location records.

• Coordinate with purchasing, production, warehouse, and transportation teams.

• Package, palletize, label, and stage materials for shipment.

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.

• Load and unload trucks safely.

• Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials.

• Maintain an organized warehouse and follow all safety procedures.

• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material-handling experience required.

• Experience using Oracle NetSuite or a similar ERP/WMS system strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documentation.

• Forklift experience required; certification preferred.

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

• Ability to lift, move, and stage materials safely.

• Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime when required.

• High school diploma or GED required.
