Shipping And Receiving Associate

Midwest Staffing Group is currently hiring for a Shipping & Receiving Associate to join a growing team in Shakopee, MN. This Temp-To-Hire role is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional with strong organizational skills and shipping, receiving, and inventory experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Review sales orders, pick lists, and work tickets to determine material requirements
• Pick, package, and prepare orders for shipment
• Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and commercial invoices
• Determine appropriate shipping methods based on procedures, routes, and rates
• Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against invoices, bills of lading, and other documentation
• Enter and maintain shipping and receiving information using a computer
• Unpack, label, and stock materials in designated locations
• Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with inventory counts and material replenishment
• Maintain warehouse, tools, equipment, and storage areas in a clean and safe condition
• Keep records related to the use and maintenance of material-handling equipment
• Assist with assembly tasks as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of shipping, receiving, and/or materials management experience preferred
• Valid forklift/lift truck certification required
• Strong computer skills required
• Experience with ERP systems preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours per day
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
