Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk/Driver Pay Grade: SO 3 Min $25,312/Mid $31,260/Max $37,209

Reports To: Warehouse Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Dept. /School: Division of Operations Minimum Duty Days: 226 days

Primary Purpose: To support the Division of Operations department with efficient operation of shipping and receiving activities for the district including sorting of supplies, taking inventories, storing and transferring of supplies, materials and equipment routinely from campuses and departments based on processed requests.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED from a school recognized by the Texas Education Agency/Texas School Accreditation Commission
• Two years of experience in transportation, warehousing operations, inventory processes or related areas.
• Possess and maintain a Valid Texas Driver's License with a clear driving record throughout employment.
• Must obtain forklift License or certification within six months of employment as a condition of employment.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Working knowledge of office procedures to include use of office machines.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as workflow request, procedure manuals and administrative reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with district employees and visitors.
• Ability to use scanning equipment and software.
• Basic math skills to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages.
• Ability to solve practical problems.
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations and equipment.
• Follow good business practices and provide detailed and accurate work.
• Must be able to drive trucks with manual shift.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Delivery of all supplies, furniture and equipment that processed through the Receiving Department district wide.

2. Coordinates with the Instructional & Janitorial Supplies Department to ensure the delivery of supplies district-wide.

3. Assist in the delivery, setup and pick up of Stage, Jamaica booths, chairs/tables, Podium, etc. for Special Events.

4. Maintains a regular filing system and makes regular shipping reports. Page 2 of 3 Revised August 2025

5. Provides information to Administrators, Principals and other personnel district-wide regarding the status of merchandise, which is to be delivered district-wide.

6. Physically check all items listed on delivery ticket before shipping to campuses and ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately.

7. Assists in barcoding and scanning inventory at received at warehouse for physical accountability.

8. Assists with verification and keep accurate records supplies and items received or delivered warehouse, and detect and resolve problems with incorrect shipping or receiving.

9. Load and unload trucks with district materials/equipment onto district vehicles and assist with coordinating and transporting from warehouse to campuses and departments as requested.

10. Assists with physical inventory of materials, supplies and equipment in warehouse semi-annually and or as needed basis.

11. Complies with all state and local policies and guidelines.

12. Maintains and conducts checks on warehouse equipment to make sure it is in proper operating condition and maintained properly, and requests warehouse supplies on as needed bases. o Equipment includes, but not limited to district vehicles trailers, forklifts, dollies, pallet jacks, lifts, floor fans, exhaust fans, and overhead doors.

13. Safeguards materials, supplies and equipment against damage and theft.

14. Ensure warehouse and work are accessible and safe for visitors and fellow employees and this it is maintained clean at all times. Sweep, dust and mop as deemed necessary.

15. Promotes safety and wears personal protective equipment to perform job duties.

16. Demonstrates respectfulness by communicating effectively with fellow coworkers and staff to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

17. Maintain professional relationship with fellow coworkers and administrators.

18. Maintain confidentiality of information.

19. Must participate in planned in-service training sessions and relevant workshops.

20. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.

21. Must wear LISD issued uniform when reporting to duty and adhere to the dree code administrative regulation.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Equipment Used: Calculator, scanner, hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklift, district vehicles trailers, and chair cart.
