    Description

    Job Title: Lead Shipping and Receiving LeadDepartment: Parts & Service / WarehouseReports To: Parts Manager or Operations Manager

    Position Summary:The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for overseeing all incoming and outgoing shipments within the dealership's parts department. This role ensures accurate inventory handling, timely deliveries, and efficient warehouse/department operations.  Coordinate daily logistics activities and maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations
    • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage; verify against purchase orders
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of outgoing orders, including packaging and documentation
    • Maintain organized inventory and storage areas within the warehouse/department
    • Lead cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits
    • Train, schedule, and support shipping/receiving team members
    • Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, inventory, or documentation
    • Maintain shipping records, logs, and reports
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
    • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional logistics or supply chain training preferred
    • 3–5 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience, preferably in an automotive or dealership environment
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to lift heavy items and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills
    • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)

    • Warehouse and dealership setting
    • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and equipment
    • Standing, walking, and lifting required throughout the shift
