Location: Kendallville, Indiana Area
Pay: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Primary hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Applicants must be available to work between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM as needed
We are seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in shipping and receiving, inventory management, and warehouse software systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products are accurately received, inventoried, and shipped while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments according to customer and company requirements
Create and verify shipping documents including bills of lading, packing slips, and invoices
Coordinate pickups and deliveries with shipping carriers
Verify shipping information to ensure accurate and on time deliveries
Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and packing materials
Receive incoming shipments and inspect products for damage and accuracy
Unload deliveries and verify quantities against purchase orders
Record all incoming materials using inventory management software
Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate inventory discrepancies
Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory
Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely
Drive a company box truck as needed
Work closely with production, purchasing, and customer service to support daily operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous Shipping and Receiving experience is required
Strong inventory management experience is required
Experience using warehouse management systems, shipping software, or inventory control systems is required
Forklift experience preferred
Ability to drive a box truck
Strong computer and data entry skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast paced warehouse environment
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the workday
