Boone Steel is seeking a position in Shipping and Receiving Clerk. They will work to load and unload trucks (Boone's trucks, Will Call Customers and receiving trucks), stock and stage material, organize inventory and general maintenance on the facility. Fulltime position from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday. Must be able to lift loads of 50lbs. We are looking for a motivated applicant that wants to grow with us thru hard work. We can provide on the job training in material and general industry knowledge.
Essential Functions:
- Operate Forklift and Overhead Crane.
- Have a base level knowledge of basic rigging and steel material.
- Pick, pack, and palletize jobs with the ability to work with others.
- Load trucks and follow bill of material and shipping labels.
- Unload trucks, check bill of material and move material in the warehouse storage areas.
- Other functions as assigned.
Basic Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to lift heavy materials on a regular basis.
- Hand, mark and document BOL paperwork. Not responsible for creating but will be checking.
- Pick, pack, and ship steel products.
- Forklift operation and safety.
- Overhead Crane operation and safety.
- Material handling equipment, and hand tools.
- Banding materials.
- Medical Card and ability to Drive a Truck under 26,000# a plus.
