  • Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures. Ensures that co-workers are also following safety rules.
  • Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) and Echo Safety Audits are requirements of all employees.
  • Communicates with our Customers and Suppliers transportation carriers; via phone or email and schedules appointments.
  • Works closely with ProAmpac customer service and materials management to ensure scheduled shipment/delivery changes are communicated timely and to the proper group.
  • In the ProAmpac ERP system; inserts scheduled delivery and shipment appointments updating the system with any changes.
  • In the ProAmpac ERP system - accurately pre-receives all inbound material; after product delivers, completing the systematic receiving functions, verifying receipt completion.
  • Monitors status of inbound scheduled loads; notifying Shipping/Receiving management team when overbooking is occurring.
  • Monitors the status of the ProAmpac dock activity - coordinating and dispatching all arriving inbound/outbound activity to the appropriate dock unloading/loading areas.
  • Scans receipt delivery documents into the ProAmpac file retention system - Info center.
  • Assist with training new associates into the department
  • Other duties as necessary.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required, plus one to three years of related Shipping/Receiving experience and / or training in a manufacturing or industrial environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook. Knowledge of People Soft order entry experience a plus.

Work Environment

Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required if entering the production, warehouse area.

This role operates in a professional office environment that requires some exposure to a manufacturing environment. Employee is rarely exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area during extremely hot summer months.
