Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Overtime: Must be available to work overtime from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM as needed
Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in Rome City, Indiana. This is a fast paced position responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have previous shipping and receiving experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while keeping orders accurate and on schedule.
Job Duties
Prepare and package products for shipment according to customer orders and company requirements
Create and verify shipping labels, bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documentation
Coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries
Verify shipping instructions, quantities, and addresses to prevent errors and delays
Receive incoming shipments and inspect products for damage and accuracy
Verify incoming materials against purchase orders
Unload trucks and properly organize received products
Enter incoming and outgoing shipments into the inventory management system
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with physical inventory counts
Research and report inventory discrepancies
Properly tag, label, and store products
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area
Communicate with production, sales, and other departments to keep operations running smoothly
Drive a box truck as needed
Complete shipments accurately and on time to meet customer and company deadlines
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred
Experience with inventory management and shipping software or systems
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
Valid drivers license with a good driving record
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures
Must be dependable and have good attendance
Must be available to work overtime from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM when needed
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift

$18.00 per hour
Monday through Friday
7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Must be available to work until 5:00 PM when overtime is required
