Job Description:
Now hiring Shipping and Receiving Officer
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and environments
Job Duties
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents
- Inspect incoming materials for damage, quality, and accuracy
- Record and process received goods using inventory management systems
- Prepare, package, label, and ship outgoing orders according to customer and carrier requirements
- Coordinate shipments with freight carriers and transportation providers
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine cycle counts
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas for efficiency and safety
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment as certified
- Investigate and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies
- Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
- Assist with inventory audits and additional warehouse projects as assigned
- Communicate with purchasing, production, customer service, and vendors regarding shipments and inventory status
