Position Details
Position Title: Warehouse and Shipping Specialist
Location: Fair Lawn, New Jersey
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Hourly Rate: $23.00 per hour
Background Preference: Prior experience in electronics manufacturing is highly preferred
Core Responsibilities
Receiving Duties
Receive incoming goods, which includes unpacking, inspecting, counting, and matching shipments to the corresponding purchase orders.
Forward receiving paperwork to the accounting department.
Accurately enter received items into the inventory management system.
Document and photograph items as necessary for quality and tracking purposes.
Route goods to QC inspection and load non-electronic materials onto their designated shelves.
Shipping Duties
Pack outbound shipments, match all documentation, and photograph parts prior to sealing.
Prepare shipments using standard courier systems, including FedEx, DHL, and UPS.
Ensure all paperwork is included with the goods, such as packing slips, invoices, and Certificates of Conformance.
Process inventory withdrawals in the system to reflect shipped items.
General Warehouse and Miscellaneous Tasks
Organize shelving and storage areas to optimize space for incoming parts.
Maintain strict inventory integrity with clear, updated shelf labels.
Clean and organize shelves periodically.
Perform daily floor cleaning to maintain a safe working environment.
Dispose of trash in the designated dumpsters.
Ensure all outgoing shipments leave the building on the same day.
Report to the supervisor for additional assignments during slower periods.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in warehousing, shipping, or receiving.
Strong background or familiarity with electronics manufacturing operations is preferred.
Proficiency with computer-based inventory systems and shipping software.
Background Preference: Prior experience in electronics or defense manufacturing is highly preferred
