  • Position Summary:

The Shipping/Receiving Employee is responsible for maintaining the flow of raw materials, finished products and related containers to and from the Production cells. The associate is required to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment while conducting normal job duties.  The job may require the ability to operate various types of Forklifts and other equipment.  Associates are required to cross train production cells to back fill when needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supply production areas with raw material throughout the shift.
  •  Load finished product onto trucks for shipment.
  • Unload and store incoming raw materials and supplies.
  • Notify Quality of any wet or damaged boxes. 
  • Remove all empty pallets from the department and store in designated areas.
  • Stack empty racks and totes as they come back from internal and external customers.
  • Assist in cleaning of warehouse area throughout the shift.
  • Follows safety standard operating procedures (SOP's) specific to their job. 
  • Immediately report and hazard or any defect in the equipment, which may endanger themselves or another employee, to their Supervisor/Manager.
  • Properly wear the Personal Protective Equipment provided by the employer as required.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  •  Previous forklift experience and able to operate a forklift safely.
  • Must secure HFI forklift certification within 30 days of accepting the position.
  • Able to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
  •  Able to work well with others as part of a team.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently within an office environment and production environment which may expose the employee to loud, continuous noise, heat, cold, dirt/dust, fumes, moving parts, etc.  The work environment is fast paced and action oriented.
This position requires the ability to work overtime during peak periods, emergency situations, or to meet project deadlines, sometimes with short notice, during the work week and/or weekends.
