Shipping and Receiving

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our client in Tucson, AZ. The successful candidate will bring strong shipping and receiving expertise and proven leadership skills to keep inbound and outbound freight operations running smoothly, end to end.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $24-$26/hr, DOE

Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday, 6:30 AM–4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor all incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Oversee loading and unloading of all shipments, ensuring safe handling of materials.

• Ensure accuracy of paperwork and maintain all shipping/receiving documents.

• Ensure proper packaging materials are used for domestic and international shipments.

• Prepare and stage shipments, and confirm loading activities.

• Create shipping documentation, including labels, BOLs, packing slips, and manifests.

• Supervise shipping/receiving staff and assign tasks as needed to ensure productivity.

• Obtain freight quotes and schedule shipments with logistics companies.

• Maintain accurate shipping records in D365.

• Conduct safety inspections of the work area and correct safety hazards.

• Inspect loading/unloading operations to ensure employee safety.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of shipping/receiving experience.

• 2+ years of supervisory experience.

• Knowledge of truck loading patterns.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver's license.

• Forklift certification.

• Environmental safety and health rules and regulations training (OSHA training).

• Comfortable working with computers and systems (e.g., D365) to maintain accurate shipping records.

• Strong communication, decision-making, and customer focus skills, with the ability to contribute to team success and coach/develop others.

Work Environment

The work involves grasping, pushing, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and repetitive movement, along with regularly lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees are exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, occasional high heat, and loud noise levels, and PPE (including hearing protection, eyewear, and respiratory protection) is available as needed. Employees can expect a hands-on, safety-focused environment that requires clear communication, sound judgment, and strong leadership on the floor.
