Shipping and Receiving

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to manage inbound and outbound material flow for our oil & gas operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience receiving, inspecting, and tracking pipe, flanges, valves, and other oilfield components, and can maintain accurate inventory records in a fast-paced warehouse or yard environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily shipping and receiving operations for pipe, flanges, fittings, valves, and other oilfield materials
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quantity, and damage; verify against purchase orders, packing slips, and mill certifications
• Accurately tag, label, and log received materials into inventory management/ERP systems
• Organize and maintain yard and warehouse storage to ensure proper identification, traceability, and easy retrieval of materials
• Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and generating bills of lading and shipping documentation
• Coordinate with vendors, freight carriers, and internal departments (procurement, operations, QA/QC) to resolve discrepancies or delays
• Operate or coordinate use of forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material-handling equipment as needed
• Maintain material traceability records, including heat numbers and certifications, in compliance with company and industry standards
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies for material handling and storage
• Communicate shipment status, delays, or issues promptly to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certification a plus
• 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse coordination, preferably in oil & gas, industrial, or manufacturing settings
• Demonstrated experience receiving and identifying pipe, flanges, fittings, and related oilfield/industrial components
• Working knowledge of material traceability requirements (heat numbers, mill test reports, certifications)
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with inventory management or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Forklift certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an outdoor yard/warehouse environment as needed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment
