While working to achieve N3B LLCC objectives, will ensure all activities and operations are performed in a safe and deliberate manner; will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety, security and quality an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):
 
·       Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment
·       Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
·       Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
·       Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment
·       Assembles containers or selects preassembled containers. Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding
·       Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto shipping
·       Determines and posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage
·       Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and reconciles any deviations such as damages and shortages
·       Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet requirements
·       Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
·       May operate a forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
·       May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
·       Be flexible to the changing needs in the department and organization
·       Maintain confidentiality
·       Effectively handle multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines
 .    Preference for experience with controlling/receiving quality affecting items 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
 
·       Analyzes inventory levels, inventory positioning and recommends items for review for disposal
·       Executes all facets of inventory management
·       Employ strong organizational, computer and research skills
·       Recommends, prepares, and maintains operating procedures and controls related to warehouse and inventory management
·       Verifies work is performed in accordance with procedures and applicable Federal, State, DOE regulations
·       Maintain appropriate packing and shipping supplies



Education and Experience Required:
 
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school, combined with at least 5-7 years of related experience; however, a combination of education and relevant experience wherein the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the position’s duties and responsibilities have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable.  
 
The career level of the position will be determined by the years of relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; after a candidate has been chosen.
 
 
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements (Sedentary Work):
 
Sedentary Work Category – The employee exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch or feel, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
 
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.
