The Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping outgoing products while ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery. This position works closely with warehouse, production, and inventory teams to coordinate shipments, maintain inventory records, and support daily warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and package outgoing orders according to customer and company specifications.
- Verify product quantities, part numbers, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
- Create and process shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading.
- Coordinate shipments with common carriers, freight providers, and parcel services.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials using appropriate warehouse equipment.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records within company systems.
- Organize and stage products for shipment.
- Assist with receiving incoming materials and verifying deliveries against purchase orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
- Ability to read shipping documents and work orders.
- Basic computer skills and experience using shipping software is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
- Warehouse and manufacturing environment.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as required and certified.
Hours:
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00/HR based on experience
