Shipping Associate

MEMCO is hiring for a Crate Builder & Shipping Associate in Villa Rica!

• Schedule: Mon - Fri 7am - 4pm; OT available
• Pay: $16

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Crate Builder & Shipping Associate to join our customer’s team. This role is responsible for assisting the shop in preparing outgoing shipments by building wooden crates and panels to protect materials during transport.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build wooden crates and custom packaging for outbound shipments
• Safely and securely pack products for shipping
• Measure, cut, and assemble crate materials
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Load and unload trucks; verify shipping documents
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area
• Ensure all shipments meet quality, safety, and delivery standards

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in carpentry/fabrication roles
• Ability to read tape measure and follow simple construction plans
• Previous experience using saws, drills, tape measures and other basic tools
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work under minimal supervision
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player
• A pre-employment Drug Screening is required.
