Shipping & Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse and shipping operations. This position is responsible for preparing orders for shipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, packaging products securely, andensuring all outgoing shipments meet company quality standards and delivery timelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare items for shipment according to shipping orders, prioritizing "ship today" orders as needed
  • Inspect products for damage or defects and report concerns to the Operations Manager
  • Record and report discrepancies between pick tickets and picked items
  • Select appropriate cartons and packaging materials to protect products during shipment
  • Create custom cartons for oversized or specialty shipments when necessary
  • Assemble shipping cartons and package items using proper filler and protective materials
  • Wrap pallets with plastic wrap and apply shipping labels accurately
  • Prepare and complete customer orders for delivery or pickup, ensuring order accuracy
  • Store inventory materials in designated locations according to part numbers and inventory procedures, following FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
  • Retrieve, lift, carry, and securely package products for shipment or delivery
  • Verify counts, weights, and descriptions of outgoing shipments against shipping orders and records
  • Label cartons with identifying information and shipping instructions
  • Ensure packaging materials are fully stocked at all workstations each morning
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work environment
  • Report warehouse or operational discrepancies to the Operations Manager promptly
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety standards
  • Notify the Material Coordinator when manufactured inventory items are running low
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior experience in inventory preparation, packing, wrapping, and loading van line, domestic, and international containerized shipments required
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, or inventory experience preferred
  • Ability to perform all essential job duties successfully
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
