Shipping Clerk - 2nd Shift

Job Summary:

Paramont Mfg LLC is currently hiring a full-time Shipping & Receiving Clerk. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. 

Position Responsibilities Include

·      Must have a good working knowledge of part numbers and part usage and understand applications for use.

·      Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

·      Determines method and mode of shipment to customer requirements

·    Prepares and expedites shipments: Determines labeling requirements including but not limited to:  Assigning shipping dates for orders, loading parts in load stage manager, entering numbers in the production schedules,, creating shipping labels, scheduling, distributing shipping schedules to the shipping office, answering customer e-mails .Prepares all shipping documents in a timely and accurate manner.

·      Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, outlook etc….

·      Good time management, prioritization, organizational and planning skills

·      Good communication skills, both written, oral and electronically, while dealing with customers, co-workers, and the public.

·      Must be able to understand quality standards, methods and reporting as required

·      Notifies supervisor of any quality or safety issues.

·      Maintains effective interpersonal working relationships and functions as a team member.

·      Performs trimming duties dependent on part and machine.

·      Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

·      Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

·      Must have good body mechanics and manual dexterity.

·      The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds or more. 

·      Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Minimum Job Requirements: 

·         To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability that is preferred.

·         High school diploma or GED with experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified is preferred.

·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-workers, departments, customers and vendors as well.

·         Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

·         With minimal supervision, demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems, interpret, resolving problems and issues using a variety of instructions or guides furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

·         Prior work record indicating dependability and conscientiousness. 

·        Ability to read, understand and follow general operating instructions and safety procedures.

·        Knowledge of automotive industry service and body shop techniques is helpful.

·        Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools applicable to trade.

·        Knowledge of basic machine inspection and maintenance including gauges, lines, etc.

·        Must be willing to work in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $22.00

2nd Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm

Monday to Friday; occasional overtime based on company demand
