Shipping Clerk

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join a manufacturing team in Aberdeen, NC. The Shipping Clerk will help ensure finished products are accurately documented, packaged, labeled, and prepared for shipment while maintaining accurate inventory and shipping records.

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with computers and shipping documentation, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and prepare outbound shipments according to customer and company requirements
• Verify product quantities, part numbers, and shipping information
• Prepare shipping labels, packing lists, bills of lading, and other required documentation
• Enter shipping and inventory information into computer systems
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and transportation teams
• Inspect packaged products for accuracy and damage before shipment
• Stage completed orders for pickup and shipment
• Track shipments and communicate any delays or discrepancies
• Receive and verify incoming materials as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records
• Resolve discrepancies involving quantities, paperwork, or product identification
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures

Qualifications

• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Ability to read and follow shipping documents and work instructions
• Familiarity with inventory control and shipping procedures
• Experience with ERP, WMS, barcode scanners, or shipping software is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, drivers, and internal departments
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus
